Nav joined our Connect Newham project in Summer 2021; he is a very dedicated telephone befriender and has already supported multiple clients.
One of his clients referred to him as the “cool guy” and his clients all say they thoroughly enjoyed their weekly phone calls.
Nav is good at building trust with the people he supports. He makes them feel comfortable so they feel like they can express their feelings in a safe space.
He works full time and is often busy with work, but Nav is also a committed volunteer. Our Connect Newham project enables him to give an hour of his time every week to support people in Newham who feel lonely and isolated.
