REFUGEE AND MIGRANT PROJECT
What is our Refugee and Migrant Project?
Our project exists to support refugees, migrants and asylum seekers, living in Newham, who are seeking refuge from disadvantaged conditions.
Individuals and families living in extremely distressing conditions have migrated to the UK via difficult and often traumatic routes; their reasons for coming to the UK are usually formed around safety issues, but many are scared and do not know how to navigate or engage with statutory requirements.
The individuals we support usually have unclear, undocumented or not yet finalised immigration statuses.
How we help
Here at the Renewal Programme, our team of highly-skilled, knowledgable and compassionate staff support those most in need and least likely to find help elsewhere. In doing so, they build strong community links and empower individuals using the service and reaching out.
Our work protects those living in the borough, affected by displacement and exploitation, eventually leading to them being able to thrive and recover.
