In 2019, the Guardian reported that 72% of destitute immigration applicants seeking a fee waiver were rejected. They presented that over the past five years, rejection rates varied from 72% to 90%!
From the beginning of the project in December 2020, our outcomes have greatly differed from the national average. We have not had a single rejection of a fee waiver application.
For many applicants, a fee waiver is the first step to their immigration application. The Home Office Fee and the Immigration Healthcare Surcharge total £2608. For those who are destitute (financially unable to provide for themselves, whether due to regulations, accessibility or other responsibilities), an approved fee waiver application is very important to making a difference in their lives!
