Ann has been volunteering with us since October 2021. She has been a strong part of the Renewal Programme’s gardening programme, for our Supported Housing project, since its conception. Week in week out, she attends in all weather.
The garden has now been transformed from an overgrown waste to a working garden full of flowers and vegetables, which makes such a difference to the young people living in this Supported Housing building.
Ann also produces a weekly update for residents and staff, keeping everyone posted on what is growing in the garden and what seeds have been sown. This is such a great way of documenting the progress of the garden growth. It has also given everyone far more insight into what plant is what.
“She has taught us that Japanese knotweed is the enemy!” says Paul, our Supported Housing Manager.
Thank you so much for your hard work, Ann.
